Community Hub Update #3

Dear people,
Apologies for two messages close together: I forgot to include a couple of important things in the last one.
Firstly, a request for our help.
A family have been supporting a vulnerable family of a child at Shirehampton Primary School (St Mary's Walk, BS11 9RR) who were “falling through the cracks” of the official support systems. Their circumstances have changed, and they are no longer able to go shopping and deliver the food to the school. They are happy to keep paying for the food but need someone to go to the shops and drop things off at the school.
Please let me know if you would be able to do this for one week, or on a weekly basis for a few weeks. I would appreciate a quick response to this – either yes or no, so that I know you have read the message. Thanks.
Secondly, I failed to ask an obvious questions. Thank-you to everyone who responded to the last update, but here is a reminder of the questions, for those who have not managed to answer them yet – please let me know whether or not you have:
- Signed up for the Covid-19 response activity? Yes / No
- Signed (and returned!) the Volunteer Agreement? Yes / No
- An up to date DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) certificate? Yes / No
- Read the Volunteering Guidelines and Council guidance (localfriends.org.uk/gn/volunteering.htm)? Yes / No
- Received the Council Volunteer Induction Pack? Yes / No
- Completed the Equality Monitoring form (localfriends.org.uk/gn/equality.htm)? Yes / No
- Completed the online training? Yes / No
What I should have also asked is: are you happy to be asked about urgent support requests? If so, and if you are happy for me to ring you, please let me know the best phone number to use. Thanks.
